Who We Are
GlobeMed at the University of Washington was founded by a group of 6 students in 2011 driven to make an impact in global health. Throughout the past three years we have held many fundraising and educational events to get our community engaged with global health. Since our founding year we have grown to an established chapter of over 50 members, established an alumni network and we hope to continue to grow to make an impact here at the University of Washington.
Our Partnership
Our drive is to not only raise awareness about global health to our local community but also to help support our partner organization. Previously working with the Women’s Development Association (WDA) in Phenom Penh, Cambodia, this is our first year as partners with the MINDS Foundation located in Gujarat, India.
Our mission is to utilize our own resources to empower students at the University of Washington to work together to improve the health of the impoverished around the world.
